Tanjore Hi Hotel Thanjavur occupies a 1920s house originally built by a local merchant family. The building once hosted K. Kamaraj and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and later served as a girls' hostel before being restored. The current owners kept the original charm and added black-and-white photographs by French photographer Frédéric Delangle throughout the property.
